Uh, that's nest Tuesday, and I don't see a tag applied to anything
that's going to qualify as a release candidate. Given the extent of
the changes, which are (IMNVHO) mighty big for a minor release, I can
see no way this'll be tested and approved inside a week: we don't
have a frozen target to shoot at for testing. So, step one is to
announce the freeze date.

My last changes (disable index) to the 1.1.x tree have been on 11/11. And I think I asked in that context for testing. I have hammered on it with all kinds of failover and rebuild tests on FreeBSD and everything turned out as supposed. Slon still exits after sometimes way too long timeouts, but that problem is not to be fixed before 1.2.

If we get a candidate tarball this week and people really DO test things, I think end of next week isn't out of the question. But we will for sure not have a release if nobody is going to test.
