I have been evaluating PostgreSQL and Slony to provide the
database/replication functionality for a new version of a product. As part of
the evaluation I am being asked to answer questions, not only about what is
supported now but what may appear in the future. I cannot find any kind of road
map document for Slony. Does one exist?
Are there any plans for mult-master replication, now that
Slony2 appears to be dead?
Will Slony1 be ported to Vista
and Longhorn? What are the likely timescales?
Is a watchdog recommended for windows? Does one exist?
How do I backup the master and slave databases?
