Hello,

I'm evaluating upgrading our cluster to use 8.2. I'm a bit concerned
about Slony's compatibility with it. There was an import fix for xxid
stuff in 1.2.5 relating to 8.2, and the upcoming 1.2.7 release includes
this 8.2 fix:

"Added functionality to UPDATE FUNCTIONS to make xxidin() function
STRICT; the absence of this caused postmaster to fall over when
processing MOVE SET event in PG v8.2".

What do others recommend? Did upgrading to 8.2 bring noticeable
performance benefits? Is 1.2.6 working well enough with Slony for you?

  Mark
