OK, the upgrading seems to have went well :-) Now for the new server, with postgresql 8.1 I'm sticking with 8.1 for now as I don't see support for 8.2 within slony 1.2.9 (the sql scripts don't have a version for 8.2, although a quick look leads me to think that the 8.1 scripts will work fine). Also the Debian slony 1.2.9 package is against postgresql 8.1, although I'm prepared to roll my own packages when the need arises.
