Print preamble already needs a config file with all the information, so that kind of misses the point. I'm trying to find a way to manage all the machines in a cluster without having to keep all the copies of slon_tools.conf up to date. If the config could be generated from a running node that would be a lot easier. I'm thinking of going the other way and have a completely seperate machine which is the only one that can manage the cluster.
