Hi guys,
May I request that we collate all the setup information in detail so
that all the currect technical and marketing information is properly
documented?
I am discussing some sponsorship details from Compaq Asia and Cyberway
and these problems could be eliminated soon. However, it is not easy
to write a proposal to them and as such I will need all of us to work
as a team to collate and consolidate the information that we have on hand.
Elvin, pls provide me the details asap. The things that I need are as
follows;
a) The network bandwidth details that we might need
b) Peak hour data transfer statistics (hourly, daily, weekly and
monthly)
c) CPU load and percentage of the current load based on our current
server configuration
d) The requested pipe that we should get
e) Server sizing for the Compaq ALPHA (hard-disk size, ram and CPU
speed)
Pls do not over exaggerate the sizing as we do not want to host a
CRAY-like server and then do not have enough hits and applications to
make the full use of it. Compaq's target is for this server to serve
Asia Pacific Linux users.
Raymond, pls provide me the details on the future of SLP.
a) The Icq push-technology information
b) The direction of SLP
c) The supposedly completed site details
(e.g. Services that we will be providing, applications that we
might be hosting and etc)
Boon Hwee, I will need you to do a screen-capture of the proposed
portal design and the complete look and feel of it so that Compaq
Board of Directors could have a feel of the new site.
Eugene, for yourself pls complete the Slashdot-like BBS site asap as
time is running out. Pls update us twice a week and let me know when
you can complete it. If you need more resources, pls let me know so
that I can hire more staffs.
As for the IEEE 1284 standards that we are working along, the
guideline is available on my server at
http://linuxsiao.n3.net/moonshi/data/IEEE-standards
That's all for no guys! Keep up the good work and let's complete this
once and for all.
I'll be away in Canada for 1 week from this coming Monday onwards and
I hope things will move as usual in my absence.
Ciao!
