'This has given me the greatest trouble and still does: to realize
that what things are called is incomparably more important than what
 they are.'
 - Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, "The Gay Science"

Moonshi,

The following is my part of the proposal;

ICQ push technology
-------------------

Traditional model of Internet is largely passive,
users search for the required information instead
of the information going to the interested users.

The ICQ push technology aims at making the Internet
more active - It gathers the relevant information
and sends it to the users through ICQ. By leveraging
on the existent network of ICQ users, we can have
Windows/Linux users benefiting from the whole plan.

We will have a server that is in charged of
gathering information from the Net, then we will
perform data analysis on those data and send the
relevant information to relevant users. This is
all technically possible, given that we already
have the source code of micq, which we can customize
to achieve the stated purpose.

This will have the possible effect of gathering
a lot of hits worldwide.

Direction of Singapore Linux Portal
-----------------------------------

Singapore Linux Portal will be a site participated
by a large group of Open Source enthusiasts. It will
function like a bazaar for information to be
exchanged, jobs to be found/offerred and business
to be done.

We are going to offer webhosting resources for needy
open source projects. We are already offerring ourselves
to be the official mirror site of FreeSWAN. We will
spark off the open source development in local academia
by providing them resources.

We will also function as the one stop information
center for local Linux scene. Whenever a Singaporean
wants to know about any development of Linux locally
he can just pop into our website and take a peep.

The supposedly completed site details
-------------------------------------

Is not this supposed to be the same as the direction
of SLP? In any case, we can see from Work In Progress
regarding the completed web site.
