I and Grace Chng, the editor of Computer Times, spoke today. I will be writing an article to be posted on Computer Times on how a system can be hacked, how most hackers function and what are the ways to stop all these hacking, and of course to clear the misconception of the recent Linux hacking. In the article, I will be redirecting them to ask questions in Singapore Linux Portal's discussion forum, my article of course, will be published on the Portal the same day the Computer Times publishes my article. I think a few things need to be done at the moment; 1) A few security articles explaining how supposedly secure system can be hacked. Michael and Eddie, time for us to do some work, is not it? :) 2) That all the editors in SLP be ready on the day Computer Times is published to answer questions that are raised in the discussion forum. This is a chance for us to raise awareness on network security, open source and linux. I think we are up to it. ------------------------------------------------------------- Ng Kai Hoe Raymond Pager : 92279944 ICQ UIN : 4878260 Editor, Singapore Linux Portal, http://linux.com.sg Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] / [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGP Public Key : http://members.tripod.com/~ngkaihoe/ngkaihoe.txt 'The pursuit of truth, when it is whole hearted, must ignore moral considerations; one cannot know in advance that the truth will turn out to be what is thought edifying in a given society.' - Bertrand Russell, "A History of Western Philosophy"
