Okay Folks

I'm having a bit of difficulty getting sound working on a new brand of
capture card. I plug in the Skywell Magic TV (from Len) and everything
works fine. Everything is tv, capture and radio. I plug in the
Dynalink Magic TView and no sound. (Yes, I do change the tuner and
card to match, but no dice)

The only clues are no child process or no wmhooks error message when
xawtv is loaded. The only other clue is that when the sound doesn't
work, I get burbles through the speakers from keypresses and mouse
movements.

Both cards are PCI, both have TV tuner, dual capture ports (S-Video
and Composite) and FM Radio.

I'm after someone who might have a better understanding of what may be
occurring to help trouble shoot the problem.

BTW - please be aware if you are using the drivers under RH6 that the
options for card type for bttv are different to the previously
published options. The bttv driver under xawtv 4.1 had 19 cards
listed. The bttv driver has 16 and card options 10+ do not match. It
seems to me that the bttv driver distributed with RH60 is a lot older
driver that that available under xawtv4.1, which is not the latest
xawtv (but the last to include bttv with it).
