IBM Netfinity 5000 Achieves Milestone with
First Intel- and Linux-Based SPECweb99 Result

The Netfinity* 5000 server has produced the first
SPECweb99** score on an Intel-based server running
Linux. Running Red Hat Linux** 6.1, the Netfinity
5000 supported 404 simultaneous connections at
1,221.8 operations per second. With these results,
Netfinity continues to demonstrate the performance
needed for handling Web page delivery and
e-commerce at heavily trafficked web sites.
