I know it's been a hot topic recently, and I'm sure there are some
of us on the list who just can't wait until the FAQ is compiled -
or at least the archives! :)

Onward...

I'm convincing the powers that be that we (at the business I work
for) should upgrade from a triple 56k modem connection to cable. So
far so good, and the advantage for me is that I will no longer have
to maintain an NT box as the proxy server! Hurrah!

Thus, I've come to the only reliable source of information
regarding communications technology (other than the great Stewart
Fist) - SLUG!

So, what are the combined experiences of Big Pond out there, with
Linux of course, and are there any glitches or annoyances I should
be aware of? There seems to be zero documentation on the BPA
website (which hardly surprises me, really).

No, I'm not interested in running a server... :)

In fact, if you feel like sending me your experiences with
high-speed comms "Australian Style" (expensive and expensive) in
general, I'd be very happy to write up a FAQ in return!

Ciao - Jeff
