Actually no .... Macrovision is this dumb copy protection thing that screws
up the TV out signal for the VCR but not the TV.
If you dont like, you can:
1. Get chipset specific tweaks for your decoder card to remove it from TV
out.
2. Get a hardware box to remove it from the TV out (eg.
http://www.videoguys.com/sima.htm)
3. Possibly(?), wait for someone to implement a good software player on
linux which does not need a decoder card. (This should be possible now the
CSS is broken?)
4. Live with it. ;-)
