This is a plug for me.
Some time ago I mentioned that I had an open source project to produce a
cave mapping program for Linux (and if I feel nice it will be ported to
Windoze). For those of you who might be interested here is the URL:

Anyone who want to contribute is most welcome - especially XML experts
and anyone with some good strong mathematics to convert long X-splines
into sets of cubic Beziers (and check out applying some fractal
algorithms to the data). At present it all in Perl. When the program is
more mature a GTK+ based interface will be written for GUI lovers (the
CLI impaired).
