No - SLUG posts are erratic for a number of reasons;
1 - comments/posting to the list are erratic -somedays there are less
than a handful, other days almost a hundred.
2 - slug list traffic exists in the business quiet space - so when the
business hosting our list is busy, SLUG propagation is slow and vice
versa. I've had posts take from 1 minute to 20 hours to come back.
3 - I would next suspect some problem with my upstream.
4 - very rarely we/slug has a problem (like today not of our causing).
