I'll assume i am right. DVD players that you buy these days should come
multi-zoned. The manufactuers dropped the restriction on multi-zoned
dvd's, and althought they have a contrat with sony (i think, who ever owns
the technology) that says they will zone the cd's, they let theo utlets
and distributors multi-zone them (it is apparently easy to do) and then
just extend there warranty to cover the modification.
That is perfectly legal.
There are a few sites around, with info on getting around the copy
protection on dvd's and various rippers etc. There is a big legal dispute
over this currently.
