The thing I forgot to say is that OS/2 networks much better to
everything (tcpip, ipx, netbeui) than dos, win3x, win9x and winnt.
Well at least 3&4 did from previous comments about earlier versions.
In my experience, with very few exceptions, if you followed the
instructions, it works, which aint the case with the MS stuff. The
other things was that I can just about replace my linux www, mail,
news, fax and database servers and a few other servers with OS/2
shareware, if not freeware/open source programs.
The major bug bear I've had was the hardware compatibility,
particularly the lack of economical netware cards.
However, linux from the larger number of developers now provides
better choice.
