Danny's book review reminded me...
New Riders has also just released a MySQL book called, well, 'MySQL' by Paul
Dubois (ISBN: 0-7357-0921-1). The publisher sent me a copy luckily so I've
been able to have a good look at it.
There's been quite a few MySQL posts on the list, esp regarding PHP. I won't
go into the same detail as Danny but essentially the book deals with
installation, admin, configuration, optimisation, functions etc etc as well
as API's like Perl, PHP and C. Plenty of Appendixes for reference and so on.
I've got the ORA MySQL book and this just totally blows it out of the water.
If you're using MySQL then buy it. I can provide a TOC or more info if
anyone wants it

BTW: PHP book coming out from New Riders as well Q2 this year. Similar
in-depth text as MySQL but also dealing with application development so also
looks at style, security, project management as well. PHP Reference book
similar to the Python one also coming out around the same time.
