That's the point I'm trying to make. You can't get photo quality from a generic driver - each printer will require its own special driver. Hopefully, in the Unix world, a set of shared libraries could be attached to GhostScript to support individual printers, to achieve this quality. Anthony Rumble mentioned CUPS (http://www.cups.org/), and they claim 1600 drivers, but there is no mention of print quality (certainly no mention of photo quality). Does anyone have CUPS installed, alongside a photo-quality bubblejet or inkjet printer? If so, do you get photo quality from Linux (i.e. is the printer driven to it's best advantage)?
