As it turns out, I was playing with Minicom earlier tonight (before
the Chinese takeaway and white wine)... Works great. I was going to
put an exclamation mark on that, but it's not really very exciting.
Thanks to Brian for his init string tip, but sadly, that didn't
work either.
It turns out that if I don't expect "OK", the modem dials, but
doesn't stay connected.
I might try my tomsrtbt disk and see if I can get some results...
Otherwise it's the great reinstall...
Maybe Debian this time, hey Andrew? ;) (sorry 'bout that...)
