I have an application that expects to connect to a service via HTTP. It is proxy aware but it does choke on proxies that require a password. Source code for this application is not available. I would like to make it work with a proxy that requires a password by sticking in an intermediate proxy which adds in the "Proxy-Authorization" header and rewrites the GET/POST request. Before I actually go and write it, I thought I might ask the fine folks of SLUG, if you're aware of anything out there which does this, so that I do not have to reinvent the wheel.
