not sure I really understand what you mean, but if you've got a
quad-ethernet card (eg), you create four files:
  /etc/hostname.hme1  (the extension varies depending on the card)
  /etc/hostname.hme2
  /etc/hostname.hme3
  /etc/hostname.hme4
each containing the hostname belonging to that interface.
(You still have /etc/hostname.hme0 which is the inbuilt ethernet
interface).

So if the machine is called "fred" (ie. in hostname.hme0), you might put:
  fred1, fred2, fred3, fred4 in the other 4 files
then in /etc/hosts (or NIS) you specify the IP address for each hostname.
