Hi Howard,

You really need to take this up with CCA.

Unless you are setting up to be a multi homed ISP, you don't need to run any
type of Dynamic routing protocols at all on your Internet link. You should
ignore any route advertisement packets from CCA and you shouldn't send them
any (they would just be dropped). I don't know why you are getting them.

Strange???

No, there is no point.

CCA already *know* about the addresses they have given you. The only
information you could provide by responding to these route solicitation
packets is the address range assigned to you by BPD. This information would
be silently discarded by CCA. Your BPD address range was assigned to you by
BPD and is strictly non-portable, that is, there can only be one route to
your BPD range, and that is via BPD.

You are capable of responding to OSPF, you would need to install and config
one of:

gated - big routing protocol package, hard to config

zebra - even bigger, also supports OSPF (And BGP!!!)

See above ....

CCA shouldn't be advertising routes out to you.

They will have simply placed a static route in the access server you dial
into which directs traffic up your PPP link. No dynamic routing needed.

No, it sounds like CCA haven't provisioned your service correctly.
