> Why bother, 98 and NT are redundant anyway. Say "Legacy systems"

:) ROFL
I was discussing my proposal with aforementioned PHB and a partner
in the business (who owns a domain name and thus believes he is Al
Gore's chosen one), and during the discussion on integration with
NT, I did in fact refer to it as our legacy system.
Business partner asked, "Isn't Legacy System Unix-based?" (capitals
mine)
I did indeed have to explain that "legacy system" was not an actual
product, and that Linux was a Unix-like operating system.
"UNIX?!? You want to put Unix here?"
"Absolutely."
"But it's old!"
"Thirty years in fact - isn't that incredible?" (smiling in wonder
as per usual)
"I'm sorry, son, but you don't use thirty year old technology in
the computer business."
(he's late-forties, I'm much younger)
Thankfully, the conversation turned around when I looked up his
domain name on Netcraft... He had to call his IT guy and ask if the
server really was running FreeBSD (and whether that was Unix).
Another wacky story...
