Im running 0.5.2 on 2.2.15pre2 with no problems
(well except that everything alsa seems to be broken, inc xmms and
esound, but oss emu is
fine)
try redownloading alsa, or getting the complete kernel.
i have had problems with patching kernels over a long period of time
(although i use ac patches, and reversing them tends to break things)
