Hi all,
Well I bought a laptop, a Toshiba Tecra 530 CDT.
It came with a pcmcia IBM V.34 modem and
Xircom CreditCard Ethernet Adapter 11ps (PS-CE2-10).
So far I'm just trying to get the ethernet card to work.
I installed Corel Linux (based on debian) on it, kernel 2.2.12.
It autodetected the video stuff perfectly.
I'm running KDE in 1024x768 without any mucking around
with X-windows at all (I'm impressed - the video stuff was
one major area I was expecting some trouble).
Now I don't know much (well anything) about pcmcia stuff
but I read the pcmcia howto and everything I could find
off the linux on laptops web site.
It looks like the Xircom card is supported and should be
using the xirc2ps_cs module.
Here's the output of any useful type command I could think
of. Anyone got any hints what's going wrong??
