Okay, we have all had a program die for some reason or another and it hasnt released the port it was using. Ie squid shat it's self and didnt release port 8080, when you goto restart squid it tell u to stick it as that ports in use. Besides doing the old microsoft trick and giving it the 3 finger salute (for those of you lucky enuf not to know this it means to reboot it), is there another way to re-release a port?? Hope i havnt confused you to much here.
