There's no such thing as "reasonably priced rack mount servers".
Compaq's are great - especially in conjunction with genuine Compaq racks -
they're a breeze to install, the rack kits work perfectly, the load rails
allow easy sliding in and out - but a base model server is around $7000
for a 550 Mhz processor, 64 meg of RAM and no hard disks.
Last I recall, HP's are pretty good too - but my memory of those is pretty
hazy.
Best bet is to buy the rack mount cases yourself, and add your own
motherboards etc into them. Check out APC - I'm sure I recall a company
advertising rack mountable cases in there somewhere.
