I am having problems getting dump to use the dat unit, with a tape loaded I
get write errors, and then I have to abort.
At this time, I also get the following errors as reported by doing dmesg.

The hardware I am using is a AHA1542CF and the SCSI dat is connected
internally. The device is;

Vendor: ARCHIVE Model: 4326XX 27871-XXX Rev: 4.BG
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
So can anyone offer advice on a good way to test the unit..
ie.. also how can I format the tapes..
