I am having some woes with DNS. For some reason, somewhere in the DNS database, somebody is inserting an extra A record fro my nameserver maggie.
When I update my zone files with a new serial, for a few hours I get the correct IP address for maggie.instruemntal-it.com , but eventually, I get a second A record for maggie. The other weird thing is that when I look up maggie.emseng.com.au, I always get the correct IP, it only happens for the .com domain.
Anybody have any Ideas on how to trace this?. I can probably get a workaround
by defining the name server as maggie.emseng.com.au, and reference everything
for instrumental, to emseng, but I would like to know what is going on,
incase I break something else with this.
Cheers
Erich
