Im thinking a good way to get a linux coding job is to write something
very cool (eg. the kernel) and do it very well. So well that linuxcare /
va / whoever snap you up and pay you to do what you love =) (aswell as
answerign alot of questions from people who have done things with your
code you never thought was possible). However i think it would be
unreasonable to want "commercial linux" coding experience. Since linux
was started by a guy in uni who bounced the code around with some
friends and started a snow ball effect.
If they wanted "commercial unix" programming experience that would be
more understandable, as that would imply knowing alot more about porting
between unix's etc. working in various environments etc. Its kinda wierd
that linux is so excluded from its unixian piers.
