Hi Alex,
The 56K Roadster doesn't really need an init string as such. AT&F sets it
back to factory defaults.
If you really did want to use an init string then I would use the following:
AT&C1&D2&K3W2
&C1 - report carrier status to you V24 interface
&D2 - Honour the state of the DTR line on your V24 interface (hang up the
connection when told to)
&K3 - Use RTS/CTS (hardware) handshaking.
The only odd one here is W2.
W2 tells the modem to report the *real* connect speed to the DCE (your Linux
box)
This turns up in your system's logs via pppd's logging as:
CONNECT 51200 (or whatever)
rather than
CONNECT 57600 or 115200 (which is totally meaningless)
