Gidday. Just had a drive go down on a machine here which apparently was slightly important but no-one had told me about :). It's one of those boxes that's sat in a corner quietly for years and everyone ends up ignoring it. Anyhoo, the a chip on the HDD has gone Zzt! and I reckon I can prob swap the board out and get any data off the HDD that needs restoring. To that effect, does anyone a Seagate Medalist ST31720A 1.7Gb HDD laying about? It's 7 days inside warranty but I'm more interested in the data then a replacement and I don't think I can walk into Harvey Normans (or our supply firm) and get another :) Cheers, Graeme -- SLUG - Sydney Linux Users Group Mailing List - http://www.slug.org.au To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in the text
