Hi, I recently purchased an ISA NE2000 compatible NETGEAR EA201 network card for a 486. I boot up the RedHat installer, and then I get to the bit where you add a SCSI or network device. I select the network device, and pick the ISA NE2000 module (ne.o). I have a list of IRQ's I can use, so the problem arises in putting in a value for the base io address. I have tried quite a few different io numbers (eg. 0x210, 0x240, 0x300, 0x360...) but it reports: (4)ne.c: No NE*000 card found at io = whatever The card is installed properly, the switch LED's light up, but it gives me the same message. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated! Thanks, Alex ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com -- SLUG - Sydney Linux Users Group Mailing List - http://www.slug.org.au To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in the text
