I am still fighting with this problem.
I have tried swapping to a different type of ethernet card.
I have checked that no firewalling is in place. (ipchains -L shows accept
for all)
I have checked /var/log/messages & /var/log/secure
I have checked that hosts.accept & hosts.deny are empty
I have just copied several gigabytes of data from another machine to the
new one via NFS with no problems
I am getting really annoyed with this. Could anyone give any suggestions
re what else to look at.
