Hi there.

Having had my keyboard stolen after the last SLUG meeting..

I went out and bought a Logitech Deskpro which includes cordless
keyboard and cordless mouse. The keyboard is actually very average
compared to my old Logitech, but it is very fun not being constrained..

Anyway this keyboard has a number of cool buttons, including
Play/Pause/FFwd, Volume, mute, and some other gimmicks such as a little
man running and a magnifying glass. Now it would be cool to be able to
map some of these to useful functions (like mutt for the mail button and
CD controls for the play buttons etc).

I have tried running showkeys and pressing the buttons but they are not
recognised (no keycode is displayed at least).

Any ideas on where to start communicating with these buttons?

(Also there are some IBMs are here with an "Internet Shopping" button -
I just can't wait to bind that to something useful..)

Ta,
Chuck
