In an implementation of 60+ ports, I expect I'll need three of these. I've learnt the Micronet's SP624 N-Way switch has some good-looking features.... * It appears to handle '10/20 Mbps, 100/200 Mbps Auto-negotiation'. <---- What is this? * 48,800 packets/sec <---- Is this good? * Expansion slot for 8x RJ 45 or Fibre ports <-----This has to be good! The last one looks great in the case where in high load, the units could be feeding into a fibre hub 'upstream'? Do you need management capability to segment such a unit? I read there is some virtual LAN implementation there somewhere...
