They pay a twenty year old to regurgitate press releases and news from the
US sites (news.com, zdnet.com, idg.com etc etc). I used to be such a
twenty year old :) The pay is shit but you get a lifetime's supply of
smoked salmon lunches paid for by PR flacks.
Personally I like to read the Fin Review--easier to correct for the
"where's the bottom line" bias than the weird skew you get on IT
publications. I also tend to read Wired News on my Palmpilot (AvantGo and
malsync under Linux) when I get the time.
newswire.com.au is okay if you want the Australian perspective but I'm not
that interested in local stuff.
For good analysis, try salon.com and a new one the451.com which seems
pretty good.
