No, it should be fine as when they terminate on each end a 50ohm cable is
loaded to 25ohm as long as the length isn't tooooo far then you won't notice
the problem so much.

I've seen 75ohm cable work along 5 meters so 58ohm isn't going to kill you.

i have gotten hold of some 58ohm coax and was wondering if its at all
possible to use this for a small LAN of about 4-5 computers. Does the 8ohm
