Hmmm - after testing, it appears that the corruption only takes place after
switching back from X - this was verified by running both "startx" and "X"
- it occured both times..
I'll install X4.0 and see what happens - failing that, I may have to move
to another better-supported card (pitty - the Matrox is a great card, but I
haven't seen any editing software for it)..
Thanks for your help... I should have thought of checking this sooner...:-(
