I have installed SUSE 6.4 on my Compaq Armada 1590DT without problems.
Surprisingly enough it detected my pcmcia Xircom 10/100 modem and 56Mbps modem
combination, and they both work fine. It did not detect the build in soundcard,
but I selected the ESS manually amd that works fine sleo. The hardest thing was
selecting the correct monitor settings for Xwindows. I just chose SVGA 800x600
with 65536 colours, and it works fine. It accepted the mousepad as an ordinary
PS/2 mouse. I am very pleased with it, though I shall probably have to find
myself a new printer. Sadly, Linux does not support the HP Deskjet 720C that I
own.
