absolutely correct. (IMO also etc etc)

The previous company I worked at had a personal fan of Meyer
working there (a groupie?!) and he organised for Meyer to come
and give a talk, supposedly on OO. I attended. It was more a
talk on the wonderful world of Eiffel (a language developed by
Meyer) and a sales speil flogging the Eiffel compiler and
developement environment sold by his company.

He obviously had a major "thing" against C++ (he made a few good
points but the majority of his gripes about C++ were ridiculous)
and firmly believes in the one true hand-holding way of Eiffel.
(C++ is not perfect, far from it, but I believe in the "horses
for courses" approach whereas his answer is Eiffel for everything.)

He seems to know his stuff when it comes to OO and Eiffel, but I
wouldn't trust/believe him on much else.

Dave.
