The key word here is "publishing".
Frontpage helps you create web pages. And server-side extensions
allow you to publish to the server at the press of a button.
Simpler than FTP.
Fonrtpage allows you to plop in canned calls to server-side Frontpage CGI programs
into your HTML. The complaint about these CGI programs is their lack of
security - even if the extensions are running on Linux using Apache :^(
