I go with the auto-block line. An auto-reply to a spam is a pointless
exercise.
This list is, by default, an English language list and is very successful
as such, the only non-English postings that I have seen are in the
Japanese language. I cannot say whether they are spam or not as I do not
know the language, but those small parts that are in English strongly
indicate thus.
I also think that most subscribers are very understanding and welcoming of
posters for whom English is not their native language.
Additionally, I think the number of subscribers who understand Japanese
would be very small and even fewer would have their mail clients
configured to handle the font anyway.
