I've seen system response pick up dramatically after getting rid of the
library process.
Killing it didn't kill netscape though netscape seemed responsible for
loading it -- I say "responsible" since Netscape probably didn't load it
itself.
It could be something to do with how the kernel manages system load.
Netscape is a CPU intensive application and this hasn't happened once
after I upgraded RAM.
