Hi all,
I found the problem and had it all working perfectly at 11pm last
night...ZZZzzzzz.
The problem was actually not an Internal Server Error as for some reason
after sending the email, it changed to file not found and that error was due
to not supplying the FQDN/file of the page.

exiting with status 1 is an error. that'd explain the internal server
error i believe. of course i may easily be wrong :)
