That's strange that it didn't install DrakConf - I thought that was one
of the mandatory packages that were installed automatically no matter
what you did. Could be something went wrong with your install? I've
installed 7.1 a few times, and DrakConf was always installed, but I must
admit that my installation technique is basically to install everything
and take off stuff I don't need later (this seems to work best with
Mandrake - I think that there might be some problems with checking
dependencies during the install), so I'm not sure.

I'm not sure sorry. Could be in /etc/hosts.deny I guess - ALL:ALL would
probably do this if there was nothing in /etc/hosts.allow. But that's
really just a guess - I've always installed with 'Medium' security, so I
don't know what it does to do this.
