It was disapearing with the fully qualified, but I couldn't get Netscape
or Pine to let me send to just tmas5640, so I tried 'mail tmas5640' in a
terminal, and got back a bounce saying:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: unknown user: "tmas5640"
Worried me for a sec that uni might have kicked me out ;-), but then I
realised that my machine thought it was mail.usyd.edu.au, which I'd
obviously set in too many places in the config file. And of course
there's no tmas5640 on this machine. So I've changed that and it seems
to work now. Only puzzling thing is - why did it only send me a bounce
message when I used mail, and not Pine or Netscape? It sent me a message
with fully qualified as well as just the user by itself using mail, but
just vanished with Pine or Netscape. Thanks for your help.
