hi slugs,
just had an email box meltdown.
rebuilt it and am having a simple problem that i can't figure out.
(yeah i know - then it's not simple)
in netscape on a workstation, either in linux or windows NT, i can't
login via imap (or pop3) to the mail server. the workstation gets the
message...
netscape is unable to connect to the server at the location that you have
specified. the server may be down or busy. try connecting later.
there is no firewall between the workstation and server. there is a valid
user account on the server, RH6.2. the imap and pop3 service is running
on the server. just can't get the email client on the workstation to login
to the email server. the user can login at the server console ok.
the email from the server works ok, to and from www.mbox.com.au. just the
clients can't access the server via the email client in
netscape communicator, (4.5).
any ideas?
