you can bind multiple IP addresses to a single card...

eg
if eth0 is your card, then the first ifconfig command uses "dev eth0"

the second "dev eth0:0"

the third "dev eth0:1"

etc. etc.

but, i can't see why you would want to bind one routable and one
unroutable address to the one card...  :-?
