hi all
X/gnome/enlightenment just started hitting my hard disk and then hung
the console...
just before it hung, windows stopped rendering properly. they would sort
of get halfway there but not finish (ie. you would get the frame of an
xterm but no title bar and none of the terminal output that was there
before i switched desktops... it was about this time that my HDD started
to get hit...
anyone experienced anything like this ?
any ideas what it is going on ?
any suggestions for getting the console back without a reboot (want to
preserve my uptime now, don't i ;)
